Elvis' annotated copy of The Omen

Elvis item, his personal copy of David Seltzer's best selling novel The Omen, with holograph notations by Elvis on four pages! Published in 1976, The Omen chronicled mans classic struggle against evil. Elvis was deeply intrigued with the book, and carried it with him during his final tours. His notation and underlining, found on pages 77, 79,80 and 81 read: "GOD IS WITHIN YOU...BUT KNOW THE LORD, THY WILL KNOW PEACE...ON THE LAST DAY WE WILL SEE JESUS FACE TO FACE...THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS WITHIN YOU...". The book comes with a letter of authenticity signed by DAVID E STANLEY, Elvis' stepbrother, attesting to the fact that he witnessed this book in Elvis's possession in the 1970s, and authenticating the handwriting within as that of Elvis. Also included is a great 7 1/2" x 6 1/2" color, showing Elvis ca. 1976, holding the book in the air while greeting a crowd on a runway! A super Elvis item, in very good condition.

PAPERBACK BOOK ~ THE OMEN

Personally owned and used paperback book, THE OMEN, by David Seltzer. Elvis was so intrigued with this book which is apparent in the well-used condition, yellowed with time. On four pages within the book Elvis handwrote a few notations & underlined key sentences. Elvis carried this book when he traveled and it was also with him in his final hours as told to me by his stepbrother David Stanley.

As the stepbrother to the late Elvis Presley, I received a request to view and authenticate items said to belong to my world famous stepbrother.

Having spent 17 years growing up with, living with and later working for my world famous stepbrother. I am considered one of the foremost authorities on the life and times of Elvis Presley. I have authored four books and been used as a consultant on numerous print, film and video projects relating my stepbrother Elvis Presley.

After examination of submitted item "The Book Entitled The Omen." I authenticate that the markings and notes on the book's pages were made by Elvis Presley. Part of his personal library, Elvis carried this particular book with him on and off tour as seen in accompanying photo. In addition as part of his personal entourage, i often times personally carried this particular book and saw him refer to it often. I add this as further confirmation that the book did belong to Elvis Presley.

I consider this a rare item and one of high collectible value.
